Central Bank of Cyprus

The Central Bank of Cyprus is the national central bank of the Republic of Cyprus and a member of the Eurosystem since 2008. Located at 80 Kennedy Avenue in Nicosia, the CBC was established in 1963 following independence and exercises critical functions including implementing ECB monetary policy, supervising banks, safeguarding financial system stability, managing official international reserves, and acting as banker to the Government. The institution employs legal professionals in banking supervision, financial regulation, EU law, and anti-money laundering compliance.
