Ecuador's largest telecommunications operator, operating since 1993 as Consorcio Ecuatoriano de Telecomunicaciones S.A. (CONECEL) and part of the América Móvil group since 2000. Headquartered at Edificio Centrum on Avenida Francisco de Orellana in Guayaquil's Samborondón commercial corridor, Claro Ecuador employs over 2,800 professionals and serves nearly nine million subscribers. The legal department manages telecommunications regulation, spectrum licensing, data privacy and cybersecurity compliance, consumer protection, competition law, and corporate governance across the company's nationwide mobile, broadband, and digital services operations.
