CNMC

The CNMC (Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia) is Spain's independent competition authority and multi-sector regulator, headquartered at Calle Barquillo 5 in central Madrid, near the Chueca and Justicia neighbourhoods. Established under Ley 3/2013, the CNMC supervises competition in all economic sectors and regulates the telecommunications, energy, postal, audiovisual, and transport markets. Its legal professionals handle antitrust enforcement under the Ley de Defensa de la Competencia, merger control, and regulatory disputes before the Audiencia Nacional and Tribunal Supremo.
