The CNMV (Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores) is Spain's securities market regulator, headquartered at Calle Edison 4 in Madrid, near the Santiago Bernabéu and Paseo de la Castellana financial corridor. Established under the Ley del Mercado de Valores (now Real Decreto Legislativo 4/2015), the CNMV supervises listed companies, investment firms, and market conduct. Its legal division handles securities enforcement, investor protection, prospectus review, market abuse investigations, and coordination with ESMA and fellow EU national competent authorities.
