Consiliul Concurenței

Consiliul Concurenței (The Romanian Competition Council) is the national authority responsible for enforcing competition law under Legea 21/1996 and EU competition regulations. The Council investigates anti-competitive agreements, abuse of dominant position, and merger control across all sectors of the Romanian economy. Legal officers draft decisions, represent the Council before the Bucharest Court of Appeal and the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ), and coordinate with the European Commission's DG Competition on cross-border cases.
