FNE (Fiscalia Nacional Economica)

Chile's national competition authority responsible for enforcing the Decreto Ley 211 (DL 211), the country's competition statute. Headquartered in Santiago, the FNE investigates anti-competitive agreements (carteles), abuses of dominant position, and reviews mergers and acquisitions for potential harm to competition. The FNE brings cases before the Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia (TDLC) and plays a central role in maintaining competitive markets across Chile's mining, retail, pharmaceutical, and financial sectors.
