INA (Industrija nafte d.d.) is Croatia's leading oil and gas company, headquartered at Avenija Većeslava Holjevca 10 in Zagreb's Novi Zagreb district. With approximately 9,500 employees across the INA Group, the company is jointly owned by the Hungarian MOL Group (49%) and the Croatian Government (45%), with the remaining shares traded on the Zagrebačka burza. INA's in-house legal division is one of the largest corporate legal teams in Croatia, handling upstream exploration and production concessions under the Zakon o istraživanju i eksploataciji ugljikovodika (Hydrocarbon Exploration and Production Act), downstream refining and retail regulation, environmental compliance under the Zakon o zaštiti okoliša (Environmental Protection Act), energy regulation under Zakon o energiji (Energy Act), corporate governance across subsidiary structures, procurement contracts, and employment law for thousands of workers. The legal team also manages complex shareholder arrangements between MOL and the Croatian Government, EU energy market regulations, and international arbitration proceedings including those before ICSID and ICC tribunals.
