Manzanillo International Terminal (MIT) is one of the largest container transshipment terminals in the Western Hemisphere, located on Manzanillo Bay at the Atlantic entrance of the Panama Canal in Colón Province. Operated by SSA Marine, MIT has direct access to the Colón Free Zone — the second-largest free trade zone in the world — and handles millions of TEUs annually. Legal roles encompass maritime and port law, customs regulations, free trade zone compliance, international shipping contracts, and environmental permits.
