About Ministry of Justice of Madagascar
The Ministry of Justice of Madagascar (Ministère de la Justice) is the principal government body responsible for the administration of justice, judicial reform, and legal policy across the Republic of Madagascar. Headquartered in Antananarivo near the Palais de Justice, the Ministry oversees the functioning of Madagascar's court system including the Cour Suprême, Cour d'Appel, Tribunaux de Première Instance, and Tribunaux de Commerce throughout the country's 22 regions. The Ministry plays a central role in legal modernization initiatives, judicial training programs at the École Nationale de la Magistrature et des Greffes (ENMG), and international legal cooperation with francophone African nations and Indian Ocean island states. The Ministry regularly recruits magistrats, greffiers (court clerks), legal advisors, and policy analysts to support its mandate of ensuring access to justice across Madagascar, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
