Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) is Malaysia's national petroleum corporation and one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, headquartered at the iconic Petronas Twin Towers in KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. Petronas's Legal Division manages a vast portfolio of domestic and international legal matters spanning upstream exploration and production, downstream petrochemicals, LNG trading, and renewable energy. The in-house legal team advises on production sharing contracts, joint venture agreements, regulatory compliance with the Malaysian Petroleum Development Act 1974, and cross-border energy transactions across more than 50 countries. Petronas's lawyers work closely with the Securities Commission Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia on capital market matters for the group's listed entities.
