Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ) is Croatia's second-largest bank, headquartered at Radnička cesta 50 in Zagreb's Trnje business district. A member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group since 2007, PBZ employs approximately 4,000 staff and operates one of the largest branch networks in Croatia. PBZ's legal and compliance division manages banking regulation and supervision by HNB (Hrvatska narodna banka), capital markets compliance for instruments traded on the Zagrebačka burza, AML/KYC frameworks under the Zakon o sprječavanju pranja novca, consumer protection under the Zakon o zaštiti potrošača, mortgage and real estate finance under the Zakon o vlasništvu i drugim stvarnim pravima, and GDPR data protection. As part of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, PBZ's legal team also coordinates cross-border regulatory compliance across the group's SEE operations, including alignment with ECB supervisory standards and EU banking directives.
