Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA)

The Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) is the independent regulatory body responsible for authorising, supervising, and regulating firms and individuals conducting financial services activities within the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC). Located in the QFC Tower in West Bay, Doha, the QFCRA operates under QFC Law No. 7 of 2005 and enforces a comprehensive regulatory framework covering banking, insurance, asset management, and financial advisory services. The QFCRA's legal and enforcement team handles licensing applications, supervisory investigations, disciplinary proceedings, and policy development. The authority works in coordination with the Qatar Central Bank and the Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) to maintain a robust regulatory environment aligned with international standards.
