Southern Copper Corporation is one of the world's largest integrated copper producers, with major mining operations in Peru's southern highlands, including the Toquepala mine in Tacna and the Cuajone mine in Moquegua. A subsidiary of Grupo México, the company's Peruvian operations are headquartered in Lima's San Isidro district. Southern Copper's legal team manages mining concession rights under the Ley General de Minería, environmental compliance, community relations agreements, water rights litigation, labor disputes, and regulatory proceedings before the Ministry of Energy and Mines and OEFA.
