About Uganda Revenue Authority
The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is the government agency responsible for assessing, collecting, and accounting for all tax revenue in Uganda. Established in 1991, URA employs over 3,000 staff across its headquarters in Nakawa and regional offices throughout the country. The Legal and Corporate Affairs Division handles tax disputes, litigation, policy advisory, regulatory compliance, and contract management. URA regularly recruits legal officers, tax analysts, and compliance professionals.
