The Union Attorney General's Office (UAGO) is the principal legal institution of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, headquartered in the capital city of Naypyidaw. Established under the 2008 Constitution, the UAGO serves as the chief legal advisor to the Union Government, drafts legislation for the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (Union Parliament), and represents the state in civil litigation before the Union Supreme Court and all levels of the Myanmar judiciary.
