ÚOHS

The Office for the Protection of Competition (Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže / ÚOHS) is the Czech Republic's antitrust and public procurement authority, headquartered at Třída Kpt. Jaroše 7, Brno — deliberately based outside Prague to ensure independence from central government. ÚOHS employs 200-400 staff including lawyers and economists who enforce competition law, review mergers, supervise public procurement, and monitor state aid in line with EU regulations.
