Vinted is Lithuania's first unicorn and one of Europe's largest online second-hand fashion marketplaces, headquartered at Svitrigailos g. 13 in Vilnius's Naujamiestis (New Town) district, a vibrant area that has become a major tech hub. Founded in 2008 by Milda Mitkutė and Justas Janauskas in Vilnius, Vinted has grown to over 1,200 employees globally with approximately 700 in its Vilnius headquarters, serving over 80 million users across 20+ markets in Europe and North America. Valued at over EUR 3.5 billion, Vinted is the largest Lithuanian technology company and a flagship of the country's thriving startup ecosystem. The in-house legal and regulatory affairs team handles complex multi-jurisdictional matters including EU consumer protection regulation (Consumer Rights Directive, Digital Services Act), marketplace platform liability under the DSA, GDPR data protection and cross-border data transfers, competition law across multiple EU markets, employment law under Lithuania's Darbo kodeksas (Labour Code), intellectual property protection, payment services regulation for its integrated checkout system (Vinted Pay), and circular economy and sustainability regulation under the EU's Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation.
