You then complete a supervised internship (hitmachut) under a qualified Israeli lawyer (currently around 12 months for recent cohorts, having been 18 months under earlier rules), while also passing the Israel Bar Association's qualifying examinations. The bar exam is conducted in Hebrew and currently has no oral part, combining a multiple-choice section with a handwritten section on procedural and substantive law, held twice a year.
