Job Description

This position is聽listed聽on behalf of聽a partner company, who manages all聽applications聽and next steps. Our partner is聽looking for an聽Academic and Athletic聽Compliance Coordinator聽based in聽United States.

This role supports聽institutional compliance聽across student enrollment, financial aid, academic聽records, and collegiate聽athletics.
You will work聽closely with the聽Registrar and cross-functional teams to聽maintain聽accurate, compliant student聽and enrollment data.
The position plays聽an important role聽in federal reporting, regulatory requirements, and audit readiness.
You will also聽evaluate student-athlete聽eligibility and coordinate聽certification activities聽under applicable athletic聽regulations.
The role combines聽data analysis, regulatory聽interpretation, record聽management, and student聽and staff support.
Success requires strong聽attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability聽to manage sensitive聽information accurately.

Accountabilities

    • Compile, review, analyze, and maintain student聽enrollment data, ensuring聽accuracy and integrity聽for required federal聽and institutional reporting.

    • Prepare and submit enrollment information聽to the National聽Student Clearinghouse,聽investigate discrepancies, and correct source聽or reporting data聽when necessary.

    • Respond to National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS) Student Status聽Confirmation Report requests, researching flagged records聽and coordinating updates聽or follow-up聽with students.

    • Monitor and communicate聽effective dates for聽course drops, withdrawals, and other enrollment聽changes using academic聽activity, system records, and supporting documentation.

    • Provide accurate reports and documentation to stakeholders, including Financial Aid聽and VA School聽Certifying Officials, to聽support compliance and聽audit readiness.

    • Assess initial and continuing athletic eligibility by reviewing transcripts, test scores, eligibility records, and supporting documentation against聽applicable athletic association聽and institutional requirements.

    • Coordinate with athletic leadership, faculty representatives, coaches, and student-athletes to resolve聽eligibility issues and聽submit required eligibility聽rosters and documentation.

    • Compile and distribute individual and team athletic data for recognition programs and other聽institutional reporting聽needs.

    • Collaborate with Enrollment聽Services, Financial Aid, Accounting, and other聽departments to evaluate聽retroactive withdrawal聽requests and determine聽appropriate effective dates聽based on regulations聽and institutional policy.

    • Execute administrative聽withdrawal processes, including聽communications, reporting, record review, and聽batch or individual聽withdrawals.

    • Respond to student and faculty/staff inquiries by phone and email while supporting聽broader registrar functions聽such as transcripts, enrollment and degree聽verification, grading,聽graduation, degree checks, and course scheduling.

    • Maintain accurate records of academic programs offered across campus locations聽and assist with聽special projects and聽departmental priorities.

    • Requirements

      • Bachelor鈥檚 degree required, with at least two years of relevant聽professional experience.

      • Previous experience working聽in higher education聽is required, particularly聽in an environment聽involving academic records, enrollment, compliance, or student services.

      • Strong proficiency with聽computer applications,聽particularly Microsoft Excel聽and the analysis聽of large datasets.

      • Experience with Jenzabar聽or another Student聽Information System (SIS) is preferred.

      • Strong analytical and聽problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention聽to detail and聽data accuracy.

      • Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate complex federal, state, institutional,聽and athletic rules聽and regulations.

      • Knowledge of Family聽Educational Rights and聽Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements and the聽importance of protecting聽confidential student information.

      • Strong written聽and verbal communication聽skills, with the聽ability to work聽effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, and athletic personnel.

      • Sound professional judgment and the ability to enforce聽policies and regulations聽consistently and appropriately.

      • Ability to manage聽multiple responsibilities, investigate discrepancies, meet reporting requirements, and collaborate across聽departments.
