Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analytics Engineering Advocate based in United Kingdom.

This role is designed for a technically skilled and customer-focused professional who is passionate about helping teams succeed with data.
You will combine analytics engineering expertise, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities to support users and communities.
The position offers the opportunity to work closely with modern data teams, helping them adopt best practices and unlock the value of their analytics workflows.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor, bridging user needs, product improvements, and community engagement.
Working in a fully remote environment, you will contribute to an open and collaborative culture built around transparency and shared knowledge.
You will also play a key role in exploring AI-powered workflows and helping others leverage emerging technologies effectively.

Accountabilities:

    In this role, you will become a technical advocate for analytics engineering practices, supporting users, sharing knowledge, and helping shape better data experiences. You will collaborate with customers, communities, and internal teams to solve complex challenges, improve adoption, and contribute to the evolution of data workflows.

    • Support users through technical troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving via communication channels, calls, and collaborative sessions.
    • Provide guidance on analytics engineering best practices, SQL development, data modeling, and modern data workflows.
    • Become a subject matter expert on the platform, understanding product capabilities and helping users maximize its value.
    • Create educational resources such as tutorials, documentation, guides, demos, blog posts, videos, and code examples.
    • Build and nurture a strong analytics engineering community by engaging users, identifying advocates, and encouraging knowledge sharing.
    • Represent the product and community at events, conferences, and meetups while sharing insights about modern analytics and AI-driven workflows.
    • Use AI-powered tools to improve productivity, accelerate technical problem-solving, and help users adopt similar approaches.
    • Gather user feedback and translate insights into recommendations that support product strategy and continuous improvement.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in analytics engineering with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others succeed with data.

      • Hands-on experience with dbt, SQL, data modeling, and modern data stack technologies.
      • Strong understanding of business intelligence, analytics engineering workflows, and data team practices.
      • Comfortable working with Git, command line tools, and data visualization platforms.
      • Experience using AI coding assistants and productivity tools to accelerate development, debugging, and problem-solving.
      • Ability to navigate complex technical challenges with curiosity, resilience, and a structured approach.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
      • Natural teaching ability and experience creating educational content, documentation, or technical enablement materials.
      • Strong empathy, active listening skills, and a user-focused mindset.
      • Ability to connect user challenges with product opportunities and strategic improvements.
      • Comfortable working in a remote environment across time zones, ideally within UTC +/- 3 hours.
