About the role

KPMG's Forensic practice is growing its Ethics & Compliance capability in the UAE. As an Assistant Manager, you will help lead the delivery of high-impact ethics and compliance solutions for clients, taking ownership of workstreams and engagements while supervising and developing junior team members. This is an opportunity to work at the front line of compliance transformation, investigations, and risk management within a dynamic, client-facing team.

What our team delivers

  • Design, implementation, and enhancement of Ethics & Compliance frameworks
  • Compliance transformation initiatives and target operating model design
  • Compliance and forensic investigations (e.g. fraud, misconduct)
  • Third-party risk management and due diligence processes
  • Compliance risk assessments and gap analyses with actionable remediation plans
  • Alignment with global and local regulatory requirements across all deliverables
  • Insight on emerging compliance risks, enforcement trends, and industry guidance — particularly within the energy and oil & gas sectors

Key responsibilities

  • Client delivery: Lead the design and delivery of compliance frameworks, investigations, risk assessments, and due diligence engagements, ensuring deliverables meet regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • Engagement management: Own the day-to-day management of client engagements — planning, budgeting, quality, and timelines — while supervising and mentoring Senior Consultants and junior staff.
  • Regulatory expertise: Maintain a strong, current understanding of relevant regulations and industry trends, and act as a point of reference for the team.
  • Business development: Identify opportunities for Ethics & Compliance services, contribute to proposals, and participate in client pitches.
  • Reporting & stakeholder management: Report progress and status to the engagement manager and leadership, and manage client relationships at working level.

Qualifications & experience

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Forensic, Ethics & Compliance, or Risk Management, ideally within a consulting, advisory, or regulated industry environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing workstreams or engagements and leading junior team members
  • Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, investigation methodologies, and regulatory requirements
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CFE, CCEP, ICA, or similar) are an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Arabic is a plus
  • Sector exposure to energy / oil & gas is desirable
