Webber Wentzel seeks an Associate for its Environmental and Climate Law practice in Cape Town. The role involves advising clients on NEMA compliance, environmental impact assessments, carbon tax regulations, green finance, and climate change litigation. You will work with mining, energy, and infrastructure clients navigating South Africa's evolving environmental regulatory landscape and ESG requirements.

Requirements

Admitted attorney with 2-5 years PQE in environmental, mining, or regulatory law. LLB required. Working knowledge of NEMA, NWA, and carbon tax legislation. Experience with environmental authorisations and compliance audits. Interest in ESG and sustainable finance.
