Banking & Finance Associate — Al Tamimi & Company
Our Abu Dhabi office on Al Maryah Island is looking for a Banking & Finance Associate to join our market-leading practice. You will work on Islamic finance transactions, syndicated lending, project finance, and regulatory advisory for banks, financial institutions, and sovereign wealth funds operating in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements for conventional and Islamic finance transactions
- Advise on UAE Central Bank regulations, including reserve requirements and capital adequacy frameworks
- Support project finance mandates for major Abu Dhabi infrastructure and energy projects
- Conduct regulatory analysis under ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) rules
- Assist with Sukuk issuances and Sharia-compliant financing structures

Requirements
- 3-5 years PQE in banking and finance law at a reputable international or regional firm
- Familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulations and ADGM FSRA requirements
- Experience with Islamic finance structures (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk) preferred
- Qualified in a common law jurisdiction or admitted to the UAE Bar
- Excellent drafting skills in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
