- Build strong relationships across the organisation to promote effective cooperation, accountability, and a positive compliance culture.
- Contribute to broader compliance, governance, risk, and assurance projects while providing support to senior compliance leadership.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and take ownership of new initiatives as regulatory and business requirements evolve.
- 6–8 years of practical experience in compliance, governance, legal, company secretarial, regulatory, or a closely related role within India.
- Strong working knowledge of Indian legislation, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance practices.
- Demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and communicate complex legislative and regulatory requirements in clear, practical language.
- Experience monitoring regulatory developments and translating changes into actionable business requirements.
- Knowledge of Indian data protection and privacy requirements, particularly the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and related rules.
- Experience maintaining compliance registers, regulatory calendars, governance records, policies, procedures, and controls.
- Strong analytical, organisational, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and spoken English and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different organisational levels.
- Confidence in providing constructive challenge, identifying concerns, and escalating compliance issues appropriately.
- Experience creating, adapting, or implementing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Ability to understand and interpret relevant contractual terms and conditions.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and remain adaptable in a changing environment.
- Experience with internal audit, ISO management systems, enterprise risk management, or supplier due diligence would be advantageous.
