Position Overview
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervises coding and implements the division’s compliance efforts, providing training and assistance as required.
- Develops/implements a review process of medical charts for provider compliance with government and third-party regulations.
- Conducts review sessions with providers and coding staff to educate them on compliance with carrier regulations.
- Assumes a leadership role in developing documentation policies and procedures for the division.
- Serves as liaison between providers, the School’s Compliance Office, and WUSBCS concerning coding issues.
- Consult/advise physicians with billing problems.
- Works with the Reimbursement Supervisor to address and resolve third-party denials.
- Performs chart extraction duties as needed to maintain a timely and consistent workflow.
- Assures available float coverage for all supervised positions.
