Job Description

The Department of Business and Industry is recruiting to fill a Compliance/Enforcement Investigator 2 position within the Taxicab Authority Division in Las Vegas. Compliance/Enforcement Investigators perform investigative and enforcement functions to monitor compliance and enforce State and/or Federal laws or regulations pertaining to a specific program or regulatory area. Specifically, the incumbent monitors the Clark County cab companies as well as the cab drivers to ensure that applicable NRS's and NAC's are being followed and that the riding public is being served according to their Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity.

Examination Process:聽Candidates that meet the minimum education and experience requirements of the position will be invited to enter the examination process as follows:聽

  1. 聽A POST Category I physical fitness exam which consists of a vertical jump of 11.5 inches; Agility Run in 23.4 seconds; 24 sit-ups in 1 minute; 18 push-ups (not timed); a 300 meter run in 82 seconds; and a 1.5 mile run in 20 minutes and 20 seconds.
  2. Voice Stress Analysis Test or聽Polygraph
  3. Extensive background investigation
  4. Pre-employment drug screening per NAC 284.4066
  5. Medical Exam
  6. Psychological Exam
