Position Overview
Job Description
The Compliance Specialist is responsible for the operational success of TransPerfect’s Compliance & Privacy Programs; ensuring successful completion and delivery of tasks and deadlines required by regulatory, statutory or other requirements, as an independent Compliance & Privacy Specialist, with support or direction given by Compliance and Privacy Team Lead/Manager, as well as Compliance and Privacy Officer, DPO.
Description & responsibilities
Take ownership and handle all DSR requests; oversight of deadlines, outstanding requests, communication and assignment of required tasks.
Lead investigation and drafting DSAR. Monitor and research new or updated relevant regulatory or other requirements.
Manage stakeholder communication around Compliance and Privacy. Handle questions, such as RFP, from clients, sales and management.
Participate in internal audit activities (coordination, interviews, reporting and follow up activities), as part of internal audit team.
Ability to travel and/or have flexibility to work in different time-shift to work with clients and colleagues worldwide.
Innovate for continuous improvement in internal processes.
Thorough understanding of project management; able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals
A team player with a flexible and creative approach
Ability to analyze and adopt/implement new requirements, programs and/or technology related Compliance and Privacy such as request tracking system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in native language as well as in English
Attention to detail
Ability to learn new skills quickly
Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills
Excellent knowledge/experience using MS Office suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience in relevant Compliance and Privacy area, with Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent; or
Minimum 1 year experience in relevant Compliance and Privacy area, with lawyer certification in relevant specialty, and/or relevant certifications, such as CIPP, CIPM
Experience having worked with a high-performance, collaborative, constructive peer group
Required Skills
Experience of managing tasks related to ISO 9001, ISO 17100, ISO 18587, ISO 27001 and/or any other international standards
Certification in internal auditor
Fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus
Experience/knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, or other on-line collaboration tools
Experience in establishing and writing SOPs and/or Policies
