Job Description

Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland or Wellington | Hybrid working

About the Role

This is a commercially focused content development role working across one of the most important and highest revenue-generating portfolios at LexisNexis — Primary Law (cases and legislation) across Australia and New Zealand.

You won’t be writing or editing content. Instead, you’ll take a strategic, portfolio-wide view to identify gaps, spot opportunities, and bring new content ideas to life.

Working end-to-end, you’ll develop proposals, build business cases, and project manage new products through to publication and delivery — partnering closely with editorial, product, sales and marketing teams.

This is ideal for someone who enjoys combining commercial thinking, project management, and content strategy in a highly collaborative environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Review the existing Primary Law portfolio to identify gaps, trends, and growth opportunities

  • Develop proposals for new content initiatives, products, or enhancements

  • Build commercially sound business cases (including ROI, risk, and market opportunity)

  • Lead projects end-to-end — from concept through to publication and delivery

  • Work cross-functionally with editorial, product, sales, and marketing teams

  • Engage with external authors, partners, and licensing opportunities where relevant

  • Contribute to the ongoing growth and performance of a key revenue-generating portfolio

About the Content

You’ll be working across a broad, high-impact content portfolio, including:

  • Cases and Legislation (Primary Law)

  • Books, journals, newsletters, and licensed content

  • All legal practice areas across Australia and New Zealand

  • A wide customer audience — from lawyers and firms to academics and practitioners

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in content development, publishing, legal, or a related professional environment

  • Strong commercial mindset — able to assess opportunities and prioritise effectively

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives end-to-end

  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills across multiple teams

  • Ability to think strategically across a portfolio, not just individual products

  • Legal industry exposure is helpful but not essential

Why Join LexisNexis?

  • Work on strategically important, market-leading legal content

  • High visibility role with real commercial impact

  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment

  • Strong focus on career development and growth

  • Flexible hybrid working (AU or NZ locations)

  • Additional annual leave options

  • Health and wellbeing support, including EAP

  • Insurance benefits and income protection

  • Learning and development opportunities

  • Retail discounts and wellbeing programs
