The Opportunity:
The Contract Analyst – Government Contracts is responsible for administering, coordinating, and supporting VWR’s government contract programs, with a focus on contract administrative efforts for major federal and state contract vehicles, including NASPO and DLA eCAT. This role ensures contractual requirements are monitored, reported, and executed in alignment with customer obligations, internal policies, and compliance expectations. The Contract Analyst partners closely with Sales, Bids/Quotes, Pricing, Legal, Government Contracts leadership, and external customers to support contract performance, issue resolution, reporting accuracy, and continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing time-sensitive contract administration activities in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be able to operate independently within defined business objectives while maintaining strong communication with internal stakeholders and government customers.
How you will thrive and create an impact
- Manage contract administrative efforts for assigned government contracts, including NASPO and DLA eCAT, ensuring contract requirements are executed accurately, timely, and in compliance with customer obligations.
- Take ownership of contract compliance issues by performing and communicating root-cause analysis to management and successfully implementing corrective action plans in collaboration with internal and external partners and customers.
- Perform analysis and complete reporting functions for assigned government customers, including customer-specific reporting, fee requirements, and contract performance tracking.
- Perform contract modifications and administrative actions on assigned government contracts, including completion and maintenance of customer pricing files.
- Proactively recommend tools, policies, and processes that enhance government customer performance, contract compliance, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency; assist in developing, auditing, and implementing such functionality.
- Provide supporting analytics to Sales leadership and the Government Contracts Manager to improve government customer growth, profitability, and performance across major federal and state contracts.
- Partner with Sales and Bids/Quotes teams to implement new agreements and ensure all aspects of contractual requirements are delivered to the customer.
- Train and assist internal partners to ensure customer reporting, administrative fee requirements, and other contract obligations are maintained and executed in compliance with VWR’s contracts.
- Proactively manage and measure assigned accounts against departmental metrics to drive business support, process improvement, and accountability.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders and external government customers regarding contract requirements, reporting obligations, pricing files, timelines, and administrative actions.
- Support audit readiness, documentation accuracy, and contract file maintenance to ensure clear records of contract activity, decisions, actions, and customer communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of Government Contracts administration and operational excellence.
What we're looking for
- College degree or equivalent applicable experience required.
- Minimum of 3+ years of applicable experience in contracts, government procurement, pricing, customer contract operations, reporting, or a related business support function.
- Government procurement and contract administration background preferred.
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations preferred, but not required.
- Strong Excel capabilities
- Experience supporting federal, state, or cooperative purchasing contract vehicles such as NASPO, DLA eCAT, GSA, or similar programs preferred.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently with broad general guidance against a framework of defined business objectives.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, maintain pricing files, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Ability to navigate and effectively communicate with internal partners and external customers, including government customer contacts.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage extremely time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to understand and comply with internal policies, contract terms, customer requirements, and reporting obligations.
- Ability to travel approximately 5% as business needs require.

- Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Bids/Quotes, Pricing, Legal, Operations, Customer Service, and external customer contacts.
- Ability to identify process gaps and recommend practical improvements to increase efficiency, compliance, and customer performance.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$62,500.00 - $100,625.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
