Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Contracts & Pricing Strategy, Associate Director based in United States.

This role leads integrated U.S. pricing and contracting economics across launch and product lifecycle planning.
You’ll translate broader contracts, pricing, and value strategies into actionable payer and PBM recommendations.
The position owns key gross-to-net and discount-rate processes supporting business planning and senior decision-making.
You’ll build sophisticated economic models covering commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, consumer, employer, and other channels.
Working cross-functionally, you’ll partner with Finance, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, Forecasting, and other teams.
The role requires strong analytical judgment, executive communication, and the ability to influence decisions across complex stakeholder groups.
This is a remote U.S. opportunity with significant visibility into pricing strategy, launch planning, and long-term portfolio economics.

Accountabilities

    • Lead U.S. pricing and contracting recommendations across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channels, including payer and PBM economics.

    • Develop account and portfolio economic models, bid scenarios, negotiation scenarios, access-price trade-offs, and strategic guardrails.

    • Partner with Coverage, Market Access, Contract Development, and Contracting and Pricing Execution teams to translate approved strategies into executable contract terms.

    • Lead the Obesity latest estimate discount rate (LEDR) process and maintain integrated gross-to-net (GTN) and net-sales views for launch planning, business reviews, and long-range planning.

    • Reconcile assumptions across rebates, fees, affordability programs, trade, government programs, and channel mix, while developing base, upside, and downside scenarios.

    • Explain actual-to-plan variances and changes in forward assumptions and clearly document dependencies and key business drivers.

    • Partner with Consumer and Employer leadership to incorporate approved retail pharmacy, cash reimbursement, and direct-to-employer assumptions into GTN models.

    • Model patient contributions, pharmacy and fulfillment fees, employer and member contributions, program fees, eligible lives, enrollment, activation, utilization, persistence, and ramp.

    • Govern membership inputs and reconcile patient migration and population overlap across channels.

    • Translate global value and pricing considerations into U.S. launch scenarios and communicate channel implications to global stakeholders.

    • Develop assumptions, analogs, sensitivity ranges, and decision triggers where historical actuals are unavailable.

    • Extend pricing and GTN frameworks to future indications and sequencing decisions as populations, evidence, utilization, benefit management, and channel mix evolve.

    • Lead cross-functional pricing workstreams involving Finance, Forecasting, Accounting, Government Pricing, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Trade, Brand, and Market Access.

    • Establish common model definitions, documentation standards, review cadences, and controls while identifying risks related to duplicate discounts, classification, reporting, privacy, and channel conflicts.

    • Present clear recommendations, alternatives, risks, and unresolved issues to senior leadership and governance groups.

    • Requirements

      • Doctorate degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 5 years, bachelor’s degree plus 7 years, associate’s degree plus 12 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 14 years of experience in pricing, contracting, market access, finance, accounting, analytics, or sales and marketing operations.

      • Substantial experience in U.S. pharmaceutical pricing, payer or PBM contracting, GTN forecasting, or launch financial planning is strongly preferred.

      • Experience in high-volume chronic or cardiometabolic markets is advantageous.

      • Demonstrated ownership of an enterprise forecast or economic model integrating assumptions from multiple business stakeholders and supporting senior-level decisions.

      • Understanding of reimbursed, cash, employer, affordability, trade, and government payment flows and their implications for GTN and price reporting.

      • Ability to manage eligible-life and membership cohorts, channel migration, transaction economics, data lineage, and model controls.

      • Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

      • Excellent executive communication and influencing skills, particularly when working across functions without direct authority.

      • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder-management abilities.

      • Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise planning or deal-modeling tools are preferred.

      • Ability to manage complex priorities, translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations, and communicate financial implications clearly.

      • Benefits

        • Annual salary range of $151,436.85–$204,885.15, with actual compensation determined by relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors.

        • Comprehensive health and welfare benefits for eligible employees and dependents.

        • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.

        • Retirement and savings plan with company contributions.

        • Life and disability insurance.

        • Flexible spending account options.

        • Discretionary annual bonus opportunities, subject to applicable eligibility and plan terms.

        • Stock-based long-term incentive opportunities.

        • Paid time-off programs.

        • Flexible work models where applicable.

        • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.

        • Remote work arrangement within the United States.
