Description
• This role will be supporting two current claims specialists, Sr. Contract Specialist and a Senior Manager. Assists with processing, submission, follow-up of bid quotations. Performs analyses to validate rebate claims. Assists with analysis of pricing strategies to support development of overall pricing/contracting policies.
• The Claims Specialist is responsible for working with internal/external customers on the receipt, analysis, impact, resolution and posting/reporting of all contractual payments across multiple customer segments including Health Plans, PBMs, Part D, GPOs, Wholesalers, and State and Federal Government as well as maintaining all related documentation for those payments.
• Heavy spreadsheet/pivot table/research required.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of experience working in Managed Markets or the healthcare industry.
• Basic knowledge of the pharmaceutical contracting process.
• High level of attention to detail in order to successfully process and assume accountability for a portion of multi-billion dollars in annual customer payments.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet strict deadlines while providing exceptional customer support.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Requires a high level of initiative, independence and teamwork.
• Ability to utilize office software to work with spreadsheets, databases, and decision support and query tools, specifically MS Excel and MS Word.
• Ability to manage daily workload as well as special assignments and projects.
• Demonstrated high level of professionalism.
