Job Description

Are you looking to use your expert contracting skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team! As a Contracts Manager II, you will oversee the administration of complex contracts and play a key role in strategic contract negotiations. You will ensure that all contract activities are compliant with legal and company standards, providing expert guidance to management on contractual matters. You will be a subject matter expert in the Contracts Management function who must be able to succeed with minimal supervision and direction. Candidates should possess the ability to proactively lead tactical and strategic aspects of the contracting process from Request to Proposals (RFPs), Contract Negotiation and Administration, and Contract Closeout. The Contracts Management representative will maintain communication with cross-functional organizations and customers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to execute the required actions on time. The Contracts Management representative will ensure contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration and negotiation of complex contracts.
  • Analyze and review contract estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, and potential risks.
  • Manage contract modifications, renewals, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful contract execution and compliance.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
  • Conduct audits and compliance reviews, providing necessary documentation and information.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5-10+ years of experience of related contracts experience or equivalent experience in DoD contracting.
  • Experience with different United States Government (USG) Contract Types (FFP, FPIF, CPAF, CPFF, T&M).
  • Strong understanding of contract law and regulations to include the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).                                                                                                                                 Ability to make effective presentations to senior management.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions, providing governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract.
  • Active TS Clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Certification in contract management (e.g., NCMA) or the government equivalent (DAWIA).
  • Experience in government contracting.
  • Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and export licensing requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships, provide RFP shaping/analysis and have participated in proposal development and bid strategy.
  • Experience with USG Intellectual Property terms and licenses.

  • Ability/willingness to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in the use of AI tools to work smarter and more efficiently.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
