Raytheon Australia is a trusted capability partner of the Australian Defence Force, providing technology solutions that contribute to the Defence of the nation and a sovereign Australian industrial capability.

Raytheon Australia has a unique opportunity for an experienced contracts, commercial or legal practitioner to support a cutting-edge technology acquisition program for the development of Joint Networks and Interface Controls for tactical data links connecting Air, Sea, Land and Special Forces.

You’ll move beyond traditional silos into a commercially focused, embedded role, partnering with engineers, program leaders and government stakeholders.

Key aspects include:

  • Advising on commercial strategy and contract risk across major Defence programs
  • Drafting and negotiating complex, high-value agreements

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial advice and the development of commercial solutions to achieve stakeholder objectives within a compliance framework.
  • Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, working with key stakeholders to ensure that all requirements and risks are addressed.
  • Contribute to bid and proposal activities, as required, including the preparation of commercial elements of bids and proposals and participation in management reviews.
  • Provide interpretation and advice on customer procurement policy and regulations, company policy, and contract requirements (including terms and conditions), to stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer and supplier interfaces with the company during all phases of contract performance and the program life-cycle.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • A Degree in Business, Commerce or Law, with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a similar role.

This is your chance to join a world class team and make a real difference.

In this role you will gain:

  • A genuine step-change from advisor to commercial leader
