Role summary:
Join the Walmart Health & Wellness legal team as a Counsel! We are seeking a motivated and curious attorney to support business lines that operate at the intersection of health and retail, including “food as medicine” initiatives, clinical research, and food benefits. The right person will draft contracts and provide practical legal advice on a wide range of matters, including regulatory compliance.

What you'll do:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate healthcare and benefits-related agreements to support procurement efforts, business transactions, and strategic initiatives .
  • Develop and maintain standard contract templates, playbooks, and guidelines to streamline the processes and promote consistency.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to business partners, ensuring informed decision-making aligned with company objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., compliance, privacy, financial services, and intellectual property) to assess and manage legal risk.

What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience
  • Strong background in health care and/or food benefits law
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts
  • Experience and comfort working within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and fostering a culture of compliance and accountability.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
