The Alaska Court System is hiring a Court Case Manager 2. In this role you will manage cases from opening through closure, ensuring filings, motions, and events are tracked accurately. This role includes distributing documents to parties and agencies, scheduling hearings with judges and attorneys, and maintaining calendars for in-person, telephonic, or video proceedings. Responsibilities also include processing judgments, probation actions, writs, and post-judgment requests while keeping records updated in CourtView and ensuring proper file handling across locations.

This position serves as a key point of contact for the public by assisting with filings, payments, document requests, and general questions. Duties include answering phones, providing court forms, performing notary services, and maintaining high customer service standards. You will process case filings from multiple sources, manages citation records, oversees minor offense cases, and supports jury operations such as summoning jurors, tracking attendance, and preparing reports.

In the courtroom, the Court Case Manager 2 position prepares for hearings, manages recording equipment, coordinates participants, and maintains exhibits and records. Additional tasks include administering oaths, handling courtroom logistics, preparing orders after proceedings, updating case information, and ensuring proper distribution of documents. The role also involves mail handling, archiving, basic financial duties, and other assignments as directed, with a schedule that may vary based on court needs.


The Work Hours

Full-time court employees are currently scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The work hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.
