<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p>
<p>Compliance plays a critical role in ensuring Coupang operates ethically, transparently, and in full alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. As a Compliance Director/Senior Principal, you will lead and manage compliance programs across multiple domains, ensuring they are effectively embedded into the organization and executed with rigor.</p>
<p>You will act as a strategic partner to business and functional leaders, driving compliance program governance, risk management, and remediation efforts while operating in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving global environment.</p>

<p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p>
<p>Develop and manage compliance programs across key domains including Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Fair Trade, HR, Product & Trade, Environment, Last Mile Logistics, Trust & Safety, AML/Sanctions, Data Privacy, Ethics & Anti-Corruption, and Financial Crime</p>
<p><strong>*Manage 1 to 3 assigned compliance domains based on expertise, with global coverage across compliance projects</strong></p>
<p>Drive program governance by establishing timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring delivery of key compliance priorities</p>
<p>Develop and maintain centralized risk tracking systems to monitor compliance gaps and remediation progress</p>
<p>Ensure timely identification, escalation, and resolution of non-compliance issues across the organization</p>
<p>Collaborate closely with compliance domain leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure program effectiveness and alignment</p>
<p>Prepare and communicate reports, dashboards, and metrics on compliance program performance, including risk status, legal registers, monitoring activities, and compliance priorities</p>
<p>Partner with senior leadership to drive remediation efforts and strengthen compliance controls</p>
<p>Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance frameworks, processes, and organizational awareness</p>
<p>Promote a strong compliance culture by embedding policies, standards, and expectations across the organization</p>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance or related field</p>
<p>10+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related areas</p>
<p>Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines</p>
<p>Experience in compliance program management and risk assessment methodologies</p>
<p>Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex risks and develop practical solutions</p>
<p>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills</p>
<p>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment</p>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<p>Broad knowledge across multiple compliance domains</p>
<p>Experience managing compliance programs in e-commerce, technology, or logistics environments</p>
<p>Global or regional compliance program management experience</p>
<p>Strong influencing skills and ability to partner with senior leadership</p>
<p>Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CIPP, CPA, JD)</p>
<p>Strong organizational and program management skills</p>
