Mavericks Wanted

In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.
Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.
What You'll Do
This is the first dedicated hire to help build out BridgeBio's compliance program, a rare shot to shape something real from the ground up at a company whose entire reason for existing is getting medicines to patients who've waited long enough. In this role, that means being a co-creator on training, policy, and engagement, not someone who runs one lane of process while someone else does the thinking or the building. We're looking for someone who does the real work of shaping how our people learn our standards and understand our policies alongside our Head of Compliance, not alone in a silo and not just executing a brief. This role is the engine behind how our people actually learn, understand, and live our compliance standards. Everything you build must pass one test: is it clear, is it easy, and is it actionable, so the person reading or listening to it can make a good decision on their own. You'll have a genuine chance to make a lasting impact on a global, diverse workforce, hands-on, by creating training and policy that helps people move faster and make decisions with integrity in service of our mission.
We're also building this program with an AI-first mindset from day one. Where automation, AI-enabled learning, or smarter tools can make training and policy work sharper and more memorable, that's our default instinct, and this role is where a lot of that gets tested and proven out.
Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Content
- Build a comprehensive, risk-based compliance training strategy grounded in how BridgeBio operates and the regulatory landscape we sit in (FDA, OIG, DOJ, EMA), not a generic annual calendar recycled from your last company.
- Serve as the go-to advisor to the Head of Compliance on training-related risk, translating changes in law, enforcement trends, and our own risk profile into what needs to change next.
- Personally design, build and oversee delivery of training content using modern authoring tools, spanning Code of Conduct, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, healthcare compliance, data privacy, and other core compliance areas, collaborating with Legal and cross-functional partners so content reflects current law, company policy and practices rather than what’s easiest to produce.
- Make training genuinely engaging and role-specific for a global workforce, choosing the right mix of e-learning, live sessions, workshops, and microlearning for what sticks.
Compliance Culture & Programming
- Build out signature moments like Compliance Week and Data Protection/Privacy Day into something people look forward to, using them to spotlight real stories and real topics rather than a rehash of annual training.
- Stand up committees and working groups that keep compliance culture and learning and development alive year-round, not just during a designated week, pulling in champions from across the business and the affiliates so it doesn't read as a headquarters-only initiative.
- Calibrate format and content for our hub-and-spoke model: what lands as a fun, engaging moment at headquarters may need a different shape for an affiliate team, and a one-size-fits-all playbook will flatten the thing you're trying to build.
Policy Management
- Own the full lifecycle of our compliance policy framework, from cadence to clarity.
- An attorney will typically draft the underlying legal language, and your job is making sure every policy that reaches an employee passes our one test: is it clear, is it easy, and is it actionable, refining language, structure, and format until it reads that way.
- Set a real review and update cadence so policies never go stale, retire what's outdated instead of letting it pile up, and make sure every policy maps clearly to the regulatory requirement or risk it's meant to address.
- Translate changes in law, guidance, and enforcement trends (OIG, FDA, DOJ) into policy updates on the same cycle as training updates, so the two never drift out of sync with each other.
- Reimagine our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics as our flagship policy document so it reads like an energizing statement of who we are today, something employees are proud to point to.
Communication & Global Consistency
- Hold the line on consistent global training and policy standards for Compliance while building in real room for regional customization across the US, Europe, and our expanding international footprint, since a one-size-fits-all rollout will fail the unique model of BridgeBio.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners including our People team, Corporate Communications, Affiliates and International, to make sure rollout, localization, and reinforcement actually land with people, not just get sent to their inbox.
- Support Compliance Committee logistics, agendas, and materials, and present on request, giving the Head of Compliance more room to focus on committee content and strategy instead of the mechanics of running it.
Measurement, Technology & Audit Readiness
- Establish KPIs that show whether training and policy are actually changing behavior, not just completion rates or publish dates.
- Run training needs assessments and targeted risk assessments to set priorities, rather than treating every topic as equally urgent.
- Own training and policy documentation and audit readiness so we can show our work when it matters.
- Own selection and ongoing optimization of our compliance training technology stack, with an eye toward AI-enabled learning and gamification where they genuinely improve engagement and retention.
Vendor Leadership
- Manage external vendors and consultants, instructional designers, LMS platforms, localization and translation partners, as needed.
Where You'll Work
This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration 2-3x per week in our San Francisco Office.
Who You Are
10+ years in compliance, legal, or learning and development roles in biotech or pharma, with real depth building and running compliance training and policy programs. Non-negotiable.
- Direct, hands-on experience building training content in modern instructional design tools, not just editing a deck a vendor handed you.
- Real experience turning drafted policy language into something clear, easy, and actionable for a general audience, and owning the process behind it: review cycles, retiring outdated content, and mapping policy to the regulatory requirement it addresses.
- Working knowledge of core healthcare compliance frameworks (AKS, FCA, transparency reporting) sufficient to make training and policy accurate and credible. Deep operational ownership of those programs sits elsewhere.
- Hands-on experience with a learning management system and training technology stack, including evaluating and improving platforms, not just administering one already in place.
- Experience designing and running culture or engagement initiatives, like a compliance week or awareness campaign, not just building content and policy in isolation.
- A genuine bias toward automation and AI-enabled tools wherever they can make training, policy, or reporting sharper. Exposure to privacy or AI governance specifically is a real plus, not a requirement.
- A true global mindset: real comfort building programs that flex across jurisdictions, cultures, and time zones, not a domestic program with a label stapled on.
- Vendor management experience.
- High accountability and genuine comfort working independently.
As a global company, our comprehensive benefits may vary based on location. We have high expectations for our team members. We make sure those working hard for patients are rewarded and cared for in return.
