The Legal Counsel, Global Marketing and Strategic Partnerships will play a key role in supporting The Coca-Cola Company's most visible and strategically important marketing, digital, and procurement initiatives. This role partners closely with business leaders across the Company to structure, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial transactions for global and North America sports, entertainment, media, sponsorship, digital, and procurement matters.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working in a networked manner with colleagues in the Global Legal Function, corporate functions such as Marketing, Procurement, Finance, IP, IT, Privacy and Data Security, and across the Company’s global Operating Units.

What You'll Do for Us:
- Actively participate on the Global Strategic Partnerships legal team, collaborating with other attorneys in the Global Legal Function and business colleagues across the Coca-Cola system.
- Establish strong relationships to drive the strategic priorities of the Company’s marketing, procurement, and EPICS (Entertainment, Partnerships, Influencers, Culture, and Sports) functions and the Company's digital transformation.
- Maintain an ongoing understanding of trends in sponsor marketing and the corporate partnerships landscape to anticipate and evaluate risk and think and act strategically in support of the business.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with strategic global and North America marketing and procurement partners and vendors, including agencies, rights holders, talent, licensees, and suppliers.
- Provide commercial contracting support and subject matter expertise for the Company's marketing, procurement, licensing, and strategic partnership transactions, including the ability to identify issues related to emerging technology, such as AI and data privacy issues.
- Advise client groups on intellectual property, talent rights, name-image-likeness, digital marketing, AI, and other emerging issues impacting modern marketing partnerships
- Manage and prioritize a diverse portfolio of matters to ensure timely, responsive, and solutions-oriented support for the business.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and ethical standards by providing guidance and governance to our client groups.
- Collaborate with colleagues and work to a performance standard that helps establish service level consistency across the Global Strategic Partnerships Legal Team and the Global Legal Function.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
- Juris Doctorate Degree or its equivalent.
- Licensed to practice law under any U.S. State or International equivalent and maintaining good standing under the corresponding legal practice regulatory body.
- 5+ years of legal practice experience in a large law firm and/or similar sophisticated corporate in-house environment.
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience negotiating and managing complex commercial transactions involving marketing, sponsorships, sports, entertainment, media, talent, licensing, digital, technology, and procurement agreements.
- Experience negotiating agreements with rights holders, leagues, federations, entertainment properties, agencies, talent representatives, or major marketing vendors.
- Experience with IP matters, including copyright, trademark, and name-image-likeness rights, as well as technology-related commercial transactions.
- Strong legal digital skills including digital marketing literacy, legal analytics and AI, cybersecurity awareness, and document management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and articulate complex issues for a non-legal audience and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Strong commercial judgment and business acumen, with an enterprise-wide mindset and global perspective.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and proactively anticipate legal risks while delivering practical business solutions to complex challenges.
- Proven ability to manage multiple urgent priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders, influence decisions through sound judgment and collaborate across multiple functions to support strategic business objectives.
