This is a senior compliance leadership role responsible for building and overseeing an enterprise-wide Ethics Awareness and Compliance Program.
You will help ensure a government contracting organization operates in accordance with federal procurement requirements, applicable laws, regulations, and internal standards.
The role combines strategic compliance leadership with hands-on oversight of policies, training, audits, risk assessments, investigations, and reporting.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and periodically present compliance matters, program effectiveness, and resource needs to senior governance bodies.
The position offers significant influence over organizational risk management, audit readiness, ethical culture, and sustainable business growth.
You’ll work closely with legal, operational, and executive stakeholders in a regulated and highly accountable environment.
This is an opportunity for an experienced government contracting compliance professional to establish a robust framework and shape a strong culture of ethics and accountability.

Accountabilities:

    • Develop and execute an enterprise-wide compliance strategy aligned with corporate objectives, federal procurement requirements, and government contracting standards.
    • Design, implement, maintain, and audit compliance policies and procedures covering applicable requirements, including FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and ITAR/EAR.
    • Maintain and regularly update the organization’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, ensuring it is appropriately communicated and accessible to employees.
    • Establish and oversee compliance training programs for new hires and existing employees, ensuring required training is completed regularly.
    • Monitor legislative, regulatory, and business developments that may affect the compliance program and communicate material changes and implications to executive leadership.
    • Conduct periodic enterprise risk assessments and formally review the compliance program at least annually, incorporating regulatory changes, evolving business priorities, and lessons learned.
    • Partner with leadership and key stakeholders to strengthen a culture of ethics, compliance, accountability, and responsible decision-making.
    • Identify the resources, systems, data, and access required to operate an effective compliance program.
    • Oversee the timely preparation, review, and submission of regulatory filings, disclosures, and related documentation.
    • Manage internal reporting mechanisms, including confidential and anonymous channels for employees to raise concerns or report suspected misconduct.
    • Ensure reported concerns are appropriately documented, investigated, resolved, and escalated when necessary.
    • Investigate alleged violations of the Code or compliance program and develop or oversee appropriate corrective and mitigating actions.
    • Ensure required government notifications and disclosures are made accurately and within applicable timelines.
    • Advise senior executives and governance bodies on compliance effectiveness, emerging risks, significant issues, and resource requirements.
    • Perform additional compliance, regulatory, and risk-management responsibilities as business needs evolve.
    • Requirements:

      • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, or related roles within the government contracting sector.
      • Active Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) designation through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
      • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in law, public policy, business, or a related field is preferred.
      • Deep knowledge of federal procurement regulations, with strong familiarity with government contracting compliance requirements; experience with SBA regulations is highly preferred.
      • Demonstrated experience managing or supporting internal, external, and government-initiated audits.
      • Proven ability to assess enterprise-level risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and advise senior executives on complex compliance matters.
      • Strong understanding of compliance program design, policies and procedures, employee training, investigations, reporting mechanisms, and regulatory disclosures.
      • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex regulatory issues clearly to executives and governance stakeholders.
      • Strong judgment, discretion, integrity, and attention to detail when handling sensitive compliance matters.
      • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with legal, operational, executive, and cross-functional teams.
      • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and evolving regulatory requirements.
      • Ability to maintain a dedicated home workspace, work standard business hours, and occasionally support early mornings, evenings, or critical deadlines when required.
      • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.
      • Benefits:

        • Annual salary range of $175,000–$200,000 USD.
        • Fully remote work-from-home position with the option to work from an office location when desired.
        • 100% employee-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
        • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching and a Roth IRA option.
        • Employer-paid life insurance and AD&D coverage.
        • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
        • Flexible Spending Accounts.
        • Paid time off and paid holidays.
        • Professional development opportunities.
        • Various employee perks and discounts.
        • Flexible working environment, with occasional additional-hours support required for critical business needs.
