GEICO is seeking a Director, Training and Compliance. Under the direction of the Sr Director, Sales Enablement, this person will direct the activities of Independent Agency (IA) training and operations to develop and build a high-performing IA team. LEADS the development, implementation and execution of the IA training strategy. 

The strategy applies to both: 

IA Channel employee onboarding to add curriculum and material for the unique needs approach of IA channel and build agent training strategy as a GEICO differentiator, positioning our products, services and team vs competition to win considerations. The end result is an IA training strategy that DRIVEs engagement, quote activity and written premium growth.  

 

Essential Functions:

  • Builds and/or develops a training team designed to focus on the needs of Independent Agency (IA) channel while partnering with Corporate L&D to align strategy and resources.  

  • Leads and coordinates the development and effective execution of the basic and ongoing IA Training strategy and deployment with both internal team and agency plant. 

  • Identifies needs within IA training programs for both audiences and creates solutions to support each audience.  

  • Audits exists training curriculum and adjusts content, materials, and delivery methods to fit the unique needs and approach of the Independent Agency (IA) audience.  

  • Develop effective multi-modal delivery methods and learning journeys to meet different IA segmentations including but not limited to National Accounts, new agency staff, and commercial specialists. 

  • Works with regional training management to manage an effective selection and development process for line trainers and regional training management. Works with Senior Directors, Product, Corporate Learning to execute training strategy.  

  • Manages qualitative and quantitative research projects to provide insight into root causes of key sales and service performance problems and works with regional management to initiate actions to improve productivity, quality, and customer service through training. 

  • Measure effectiveness through post-training production lift, behavior change, utilization, and engagement to drive agent readiness and productivity. 

  • Communicates and coordinates Diversity and Inclusion assignments and expectations to leadership. Coordinates with Diversity and Inclusion department. 

  • Prepares department business plans, staffing projections and budgets. Requisition supplies and materials necessary for efficient operation.

  • Reviews plans and budgets periodically to achieve cost reduction where possible. 

  • Assists sales team and managers in staff readiness by creating a blueprint of IA specific training.

Annual Salary

$113,775.00 - $212,175.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
