Disputes, Commercial Litigation Associate, Mid-Level

Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking mid-level associates to join its Litigation practice in our Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have four to six years of post-law school experience handling complex commercial litigation matters, preferably in a large law firm, judicial clerkship, or a comparable legal environment. The associate will work on all phases of litigation, including managing written and document discovery, drafting pleadings, and conducting legal research to support case strategy. This position offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility while working closely with partners and clients on high-stakes disputes.
 

Candidates should be intellectually curious, driven, and committed to professional growth and excellence in client service. Strong research, writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent academic credentials. Candidates should have experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and case management, and be comfortable working directly with partners and clients on sophisticated matters. Successful candidates will possess strategic judgment, a strong work ethic, leadership potential, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while taking on increasing levels of responsibility. Judicial clerkship experience is a plus but not required. Qualified candidates must be admitted to the California Bar.
 

The expected base salary range for this role is $310,000 to $390,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off.
