DISTRICT CLERK'S OFFICE - COURT CLERK, INTERMEDIATE (JAIL MAGISTRATE)

**This position requires shift work for a 24/7 operation and will require working non-traditional working hours such holidays, weekends, and late nights.**


Acceptable Experience and Education
Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or a directly related field and two (2) years of office clerical experience; with experience in legal procedures, terminology, the court system, and customer service. 

Depending on area assigned: with one (1) year cashier experience. 
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 Certificates, Licenses, and other Requirements
In order to access into the County’s network and systems, a personal smart device is required by the hire start date.

(Depending on area of assignment): 
Deputy Clerk deputizing; may require AOP certification. Certified Clerk from Texas Justice Court. Master Certified Clerk from Texas Justice Court. 

May require or obtain by date of hire a valid driver's license applicable to job responsibilities, with a driving record acceptable to the County of El Paso
