Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a eFiling Specialist based in the United States.
This is a part-time remote opportunity supporting critical litigation workflows through accurate, timely, and dependable electronic court filing.
You’ll manage filings from preparation through submission and tracking, ensuring client requests stay on schedule and meet jurisdictional requirements.
The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
You’ll work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues, prevent filing rejections, and keep every order moving forward.
The position offers exposure to multiple jurisdictions and a variety of legal technology platforms and filing systems.
It’s an ideal environment for someone who enjoys structured processes, problem-solving, and working independently in a fast-paced legal support operation.
The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM PT, with some flexibility around working hours.
Accountabilities
- Manage electronic court filings from start to finish, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete, and delivered within required deadlines.
- Review and prepare legal documents for filing, verify filing requirements, submit documents through appropriate portals, and track filings through completion.
- Monitor client orders and service-level commitments, proactively addressing potential delays or issues before they affect deadlines.
- Handle rush requests and troubleshoot filing challenges using sound judgment and critical thinking to minimize rejections and disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of filings, statuses, deadlines, and related documentation across multiple jobs and jurisdictions.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding filing status, requirements, issues, and next steps.
- Navigate a range of electronic filing and legal technology platforms, including Journal Tech, Tyler Odyssey, LegalConnect, GreenFiling, and Legal CMS systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, prevent recurring errors, and make filing processes more efficient and reliable.
- Adapt to changing priorities and jurisdictional requirements while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and service.
- Experience in legal services, litigation support, attorney services, court filing, or a related operational environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with eFiling procedures and service portals in California, Texas, Washington, or multiple jurisdictions is highly valued.
- Experience with electronic filing portals, Legal CMS platforms, or legal support vendors is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of legal document preparation and court filing procedures across different jurisdictions is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow highly structured processes while working efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple jobs, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, particularly when handling urgent requests or resolving filing issues.
- Comfort learning and adapting to new software, technology platforms, workflows, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Availability to provide coverage Monday through Friday from approximately 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM PT, with some flexibility around working hours.
