The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an EMEA Ethics & Compliance Manager (m/f/x)*, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. This position will report directly to the Regional Ethics & Compliance Leader, EMEA, and will serve as the primary E&C business partner to the MedSurg business across the EMEA region. Here, you will make an impact by:
Leading the implementation and execution of the Ethics & Compliance (E&C) program across EMEA for the MedSurg business, including training, communications, risk assessments, third‑party management, and promotion of the Solventum Code of Conduct
Acting as a strategic and trusted advisor to business leadership, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks across multiple markets and jurisdictions
Reviewing and advising on high‑risk activities and transactions, including third‑party engagements, conflicts of interest, business programs, and interactions with healthcare professionals and organizations
Leading compliance governance and oversight processes to ensure leadership accountability, appropriate tone from the top, and effective integration of compliance into business strategies
Serving as the primary point of contact for E&C matters within MedSurg in EMEA, while monitoring key compliance metrics, supporting investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Finance, Business or similar (completed and verified prior to start)
Profound experience in ethics & compliance, legal, audit, finance, or related governance roles
Experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry within a multinational environment
Strong knowledge of applicable healthcare compliance laws and regulations including anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption (e.g., FCPA, UK Anti-Bribery Act), healthcare fraud and abuse laws, and industry codes
Fluency in English as well as an additional language (French, Italian or Spanish)
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Proven ability to act as a trusted business partner, influencing stakeholders and translating compliance requirements into practical solutions
Demonstrated leadership and ownership, with the ability to drive initiatives and deliver results across business and countries
Self-starter mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and simplifying complex topics
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment in ambiguous situations
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex topics to diverse audiences
Familiarity with relevant tools and systems (e.g., Concur, Salesforce, SAP, Power BI)
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Work location:
- Remote
Travel: May include up to 20% international
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
