Role Overview

As a Governance and Compliance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in strengthening program governance, performance assurance, compliance, and decision-making across our portfolio. Working within the Program Management Office (PMO), you'll support project teams, finance partners, and leadership stakeholders by delivering accurate reporting, earned value insights, forecasting, and portfolio governance activities.

This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM), project controls, program governance, workforce planning, and financial forecasting while working across a diverse portfolio of projects. You'll collaborate with multiple parts of the business to support predictable program delivery, enhanced performance visibility, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Description
  • Support program governance activities through the delivery of project performance, schedule, financial, and portfolio reporting.

  • Assist with Earned Value Management (EVM) activities by analysing project cost, schedule, and performance metrics against established baselines.

  • Develop, maintain, and analyse project schedules, planning data, and forecasting information within project management and ERP systems.

  • Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and operational stakeholders to support workforce planning, resource forecasting, and financial projections.

  • Monitor performance trends, risks, and early warning indicators to provide meaningful insights that support informed decision-making.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, governance frameworks, reporting practices, and compliance activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Approximately 3 years' experience in a PMO, project controls, project analysis, project coordination, or similar environment.

  • Understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and project lifecycle processes.

  • Experience supporting project financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, or performance analysis.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify performance trends.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multiple business functions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

  • Ability to work from our Homebush office in a hybrid capacity, with a minimum of three days onsite per week.

  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and project performance measurement.

  • Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO).

  • Knowledge of project scheduling tools, ERP systems, and portfolio reporting processes.

  • Experience within Defence, Aerospace, Aviation, Engineering, or other complex project delivery environments.

  • Understanding of workforce planning and resource management practices.
