Job Description
Hoet Peláez Castillo & Duque is hiring a Intellectual Property Associate based in Caracas, Venezuela. Protect and enforce trademarks, patents and IP rights before SAPI and the courts.
Responsibilities
- Prosecute trademark and patent applications before SAPI
- Advise on licensing, franchising and IP enforcement
- Manage portfolios for multinational brand owners
- Handle opposition and infringement matters
Requirements
- Licenciatura en Derecho from an accredited Venezuelan university.
- Admission as an abogado (registered with a Colegio de Abogados and INPREABOGADO).
- 2 to 4 years in IP
- Familiarity with SAPI procedure
