Intellectual Property Associate

Hoet Peláez Castillo & Duque is hiring a Intellectual Property Associate based in Caracas, Venezuela. Protect and enforce trademarks, patents and IP rights before SAPI and the courts.

Responsibilities

• Prosecute trademark and patent applications before SAPI
• Advise on licensing, franchising and IP enforcement
• Manage portfolios for multinational brand owners
• Handle opposition and infringement matters

Requirements

• Licenciatura en Derecho from an accredited Venezuelan university.
• Admission as an abogado (registered with a Colegio de Abogados and INPREABOGADO).
• 2 to 4 years in IP
• Familiarity with SAPI procedure
