Job Description
A World-Changing Company
Palantir builds the world’s leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. By bringing the right data to the people who need it, our platforms empower our partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, locate missing children, and more.
The Role Palantir's in-house legal team works to proactively address legal issues so that Palantir can continue to drive positive impact in the world. Our IP Counsel are the legal backbone of Palantir's intellectual property strategy across all domains: patents, trademark, copyright, and trade secret. In this role you'll become a go-to advisor on the protection of Palantir's cutting edge technology. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide array of intellectual property matters, including patent harvesting, portfolio development, and landscaping, trademark strategy and management, licensing and partnership agreements, open source strategy and compliance, product development issues, and strategic advice for product and business teams.
Our ideal candidate has strong technical and interpersonal skills, meaning you are comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders from software developers and internal business teams, to third parties. You're able to maintain focus on the details and can take on novel, complex issues as they arise, whilst also holding the ownership and sense of responsibility needed to bring large and multi-stepped projects to completion. Although focused on intellectual property, as a member of the legal team you're excited to work on the broad range of projects that arise at a fast-paced, dynamic company.
