IP / trademark / copyright law Evaluator

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a IP / Trademark / Copyright Law Evaluator based in India.

This contract opportunity is designed for experienced intellectual property legal professionals who want to apply their expertise to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems. You will assess AI-generated legal content against domain-specific quality standards, using your knowledge of intellectual property law to identify inaccuracies and weaknesses. Your professional judgment will help improve the reliability, precision, and quality of AI-generated legal outputs. The role involves reviewing content for factual accuracy, clarity, presentation, and overall professional quality. You will provide structured feedback that directly supports the improvement of AI model performance. Working remotely and asynchronously, you will have the flexibility to contribute your legal expertise to innovative AI projects.

Accountabilities:

• Evaluate AI-generated legal artifacts against established intellectual property law quality rubrics and evaluation standards.
• Apply specialized knowledge of IP, trademark, and copyright law when assessing AI-generated content.
• Identify factual inaccuracies, legal inconsistencies, reasoning gaps, presentation issues, and other quality concerns.
• Assess the clarity, accuracy, completeness, and professional suitability of AI-generated legal materials.
• Provide clear, structured, and actionable written feedback to support the continuous improvement of AI model outputs.
• Apply evaluation criteria consistently across different legal content types and assignments.
• Use Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, particularly Google Slides, to review and assess generated materials.
• Work independently and asynchronously while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
• Contribute domain expertise that helps improve the accuracy and usefulness of AI-generated legal content.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in intellectual property law, trademark law, copyright law, or a closely related legal field.
• Native or professional-level fluency in English, with excellent written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of intellectual property legal principles, terminology, and professional standards.
• Demonstrated ability to identify factual, legal, analytical, and presentation-related issues in written materials.
• Excellent critical-thinking and analytical skills, with a highly detail-oriented approach to legal content evaluation.
• Ability to provide objective, clear, and well-structured written feedback.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, particularly Google Slides.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, follow detailed evaluation criteria, and meet deadlines in a remote, asynchronous environment.
• Experience with legal research, content evaluation, quality assurance, or AI-generated content is a plus.
• An advanced degree (Master’s or higher) from a reputable institution is preferred.
