Junior Enforcement Officer — Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) seeks a Junior Enforcement Officer for its Investigation and Enforcement Division in Colombo 3. The SEC is at the forefront of capital markets regulation, investigating insider trading, market manipulation, and corporate governance violations on the Colombo Stock Exchange.

The Junior Enforcement Officer will assist in investigations, analyse trading data, interview witnesses, and prepare enforcement briefs for prosecution before the Commercial High Court. This is an outstanding entry point into securities regulation for a recently admitted Attorney-at-Law committed to market integrity and investor protection in Sri Lanka's frontier capital market.

• Assist with investigations into insider trading, market manipulation, and disclosure violations
• Analyse trading data from the Colombo Stock Exchange to identify suspicious patterns
• Interview witnesses and prepare witness statements for enforcement proceedings
• Draft show-cause notices, investigation reports, and enforcement recommendations
• Support prosecution proceedings before the Commercial High Court
• Maintain investigation files and compliance with evidentiary standards

• Attorney-at-Law admitted by BASL with 0–2 years' post-admission experience
• Knowledge of the SEC Act, Companies Act No. 7 of 2007, and securities regulation principles
• Understanding of capital markets, stock exchange operations, and market conduct rules
• Analytical mindset with ability to review trading data and financial records
• Strong English writing skills for enforcement reports and legal briefs
• LL.B. from a recognised Sri Lankan university with strong academic record
• Interest in financial regulation and public service
