Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain payments compliance policies, frameworks, and internal standards.
  • Provide regulatory structuring support for payments setups, partner models, and fund flows.
  • Review and support onboarding of payment partners, including agreement reviews from a compliance perspective.
  • Advise on licensing scope, regulatory permissions, and operational constraints for payments activities.
  • Work closely with Product, Operations, and Legal to ensure payments initiatives are compliant by design.
  • Support standardisation and streamlining of payments compliance processes across entities.
  • Coordinate with external counsel and regulators on payments-related regulatory matters where required.

 

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer or compliance professional with legal training, preferably called to the bar in SG, MY, UK, or HK.
  • 3–7 years of experience in payments, fintech, EMI/PSP, or financial services compliance or regulatory advisory.
  • Strong understanding of payments regulation, fund flows, and licensing frameworks.
  • Practical mindset with ability to translate regulatory requirements into workable operating models.
  • Experience in multi-jurisdiction environments is a strong plus.
